Eligible applicants include local non-profits, community organizations, and media producers with a proven track record of working in Puerto Rico. Unlike neighboring Caribbean islands, Puerto Rico requires applicants to demonstrate a specific understanding of the island's complex history of colonization and its ongoing impacts on local identity and culture. With a strong focus on DIY production and community-led development, this grant program is well-positioned to support Puerto Rico's media makers.
